A great jumping off point if you're new to working with an editor, or simply looking for unbiased feedback from an outsider's perspective.
The highest and most general level of editing, think of Beta Reading as a literary check up rather than a full examination.

Manuscript Evaluation
If you're looking for meatier feedback, a Manuscript Evaluation provides a detailed analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of your story, characters, and overall narrative structure.
A Manuscript Evaluation is where you'll want to turn if you have questions like 'what could make this ending more plausible?' or 'how many subplots is TOO many?'

Developmental Editing
A Developmental Edit is where we will completely deconstruct your story to ensure each part of what you've written adds to the narrative. More collaboration than feedback, we will explore every part of your characters, plot, and structure to take your story to the next level and pack as much of a punch as possible.
Your Developmental Edit includes:

Specific Edits
Fiction Line Editing
As the name suggests, a line edit polishes your prose at a sentence-by-sentence level. I will go through each individual line in your chapter or manuscript to ensure consistency in character, chronology, and world-building.
This is also where we'll ensure you keep a consistent voice, tone, and authorial style to create something that is uniquely "you".
On the functional side, I'll check for cliches, unclear sentence structure, and repetitive phrases. I'll also ensure your story flows smoothly between paragraphs, scenes, and chapters.

What I Don't Do
While I will work diligently to help you produce your best work, I will not write your story for you.
I cannot guarantee your work will be published. The publishing world can be a fickle and discouraging place. No matter how good your writing is, there are no guarantees publications will accept your work or agents will choose to represent you.
